Confirmation is an exciting time in the lives of our students. Offered every fall for middle school students in an eight-week Sunday morning class, Examine the basics of your faith on a personal level and make a lifelong commitment to Christ.

MISSION OPPORTUNITIES (SUMMER)

Student Life offers 3 mission opportunities each year:

  • Middle School Mission Camp for students in 6th - 8th grades | June 20-24
    Middle School students serve at the church during Vacation Bible School and also out in the community while camping out at the church for the week.  Evening worship, fun, and fellowship round out a great week of service. Cost: $150/student.

  • Summer Road Trip for students who have completed 7th grade through 11th grade | July 10-16 | West Virginia
    Rising 8th graders through rising seniors are invited to join us on a Road Trip as we travel to the Appalachia region of West Virginia and serve in the community there.  Light construction work, children’s ministry/VBS opportunities along partnering with a local church make this a perfect trip for the student who wants to go on a mission trip but isn’t ready to be a long way from home. Cost: $700/student.

  • High School Mission Trip for 9th - 12th-grade students | June 5-11 | Tucson, AZ
    Students who have completed 9th grade and up can travel with us to Tucson, AZ this year for a week of serving in the community, partnering with a local church along with a sports-based, Vacation Bible school opportunity for children in the area. Cost: $1,250 per student.

Sunday Morning Bible Study

9:30 AM | Room 214 | June 6, 13, 20, 27, Resumes August 8

Sunday mornings are dedicated to diving into Scripture and helping students Know Jesus personally.  Middle and high school students will meet together as a large group to begin the morning and a lesson will be presented by a member of the Student Life team or a Bible Study leader.  Following the lesson, middle school and high school groups will divide up to discuss the lesson and Scripture among their peers.

Small Groups

5:30 – 6:30 PM | Various Locations | January 10 – May 2

6th - 12th-grade students meet to experience the Christian community in a small group setting as they study and apply Scripture to their lives. Small groups offer an opportunity for every student to Be Known, to Know Jesus, and to Know Themselves, which is what we want for every student. The groups are divided by grade and gender. Groups meet in various locations around our church.

June-July
Wednesday Nights

6:15-7:30 PM | June 2 - July 28 | The Underground

Students of all ages gather together for an evening of fun and fellowship, mixed in with worship and a message or teaching. The night begins with pizza ($1/slice) and continues with an ice-breaker game or two, followed by worship with our student band and worship leaders. After worship, a short message or teaching is given by one of our Student Pastors or a member of the Student Speaking Team. The evening wraps up with a choice of a large group game, art activity, or homework/hang-out time.

Senior Sunday

12:15 – 1:30 PM | Third Floor Balcony | May 2

Seniors and their families are invited to attend a luncheon to celebrate them and their accomplishments. RSVP is required & please email: mgray@mountpisgah.org
