The Word of God is True and Real

God’s Word. The word of God is true and real. That’s a phrase we say in kids worship because it’s matters that our kids know they can count on the Word of God being their guide through every turn in their lives. We want them to understand that Scripture isn’t just a book they read at church, it’s God speaking to them, loving them, and leading them every day.
Last year Emily, one of our now 4th graders, received her 3rd grade Bible and started bringing it with her to church every week. It became a part of her rhythm and helped her grow closer to God. As she opened the word of God, she continued to understand she belonged to Him and He loved her more than she could ever comprehend. Later that semester, Emily made the decision in kids church on a Sunday morning, that she decided to put her trust in Jesus.
What a beautiful reminder that when kids are given God’s Word and encouraged to engage with it at home and at church, the Holy Spirit is faithful to work in their hearts.
As the local church body, praying for and surrounding the next generation of Jesus followers is going to impact them forever. The generations of faith throughout our church all serve the same God and the same Holy Spirit does miracles here every week. This Sunday, our 3rd graders will receive their Bibles during the 11:00am service. These kids will be forever impacted by the truth of God’s Word, and by a church that believes in them and walks alongside them as they grow in faith.
