Ash Wednesday Service

The word "Lent" doesn't appear in scripture, but you would be hard pressed to find a more powerful spiritual practice in the history of Christianity. It's a season that followers of Jesus have set aside for 1,700 years as a time to prepare heart, mind and soul to celebrate the resurrection of Christ and his defeat of death on our behalf. It speaks to the very heart of the gospel, and Ash Wednesday is the beginning of that journey. Profound beauty comes out of these ashes.
