Parenting Class: How to Talk to Your Kids
About Race & Racism
Wednesdays, September - October 28 | 8:00 - 9:15 PM | Online Via Zoom
Where does racism come from? How should Christians respond rightly, without falling into the error of color-blindness or ignorance? And how do we equip kids with a gospel lens on these issues? Racism is a very real issue which every child will encounter from their perspective at some point in their life. The authors of The Gospel in Color, Jarvis J. Williams and Curtis A. Woods have designed two companion books (one each for parents and children) to equip parents to have helpful, honest conversations with a biblical perspective on race and racism and how the good news of Jesus Christ brings about reconciliation. We will discuss these and other resources in order to help make this topic approachable, engaging, and gospel-centered both in and outside of your home.
