Mount Pisgah StudentLife

Mount Pisgah Student Life Ministries partner with PrayingPelican.org to support ministry to orphans and children in need in the nation of Haiti. For more information on this ministry, please see our Student Life page.

 

Mully's Children's Family

Mully Children’s Family is committed to following Jesus Christ in assisting and working with the poor, displaced, and oppressed children of Kenya through rescue, rehabilitation, capacity building, access to education and training, and medical care, parental love, psychological support, and spiritual care.

 

Glory Outreach Assembly

Glory Outreach Assembly operates 7 children’s homes, engages in leadership training and church planting efforts, and seeks to promote peace and conflict resolution in local communities.

 

International Leadership Institute

International Leadership Institute (ILI) trains and mobilizes more than 10,000 leaders each year with the eight core values of the most effective Christian leaders, accelerating the spread of the life-transforming power of the Gospel through leaders of leaders empowered by the Holy Spirit.

 

Elam

Elam trains leaders and workers to be effective ministers of the Gospel in the Iran region, equipping the Church with resources that will assist them in their ministry, and sending leaders and workers to strengthen existing churches, establish new churches, and provide relief for the poor and persecuted.

 

UMC Costa Rica

Mount Pisgah partners with the United Methodist Church in Costa Rica through several local congregations to support them in reaching the vulnerable and those in need, and building up the Body of Christ and equipping them for the work of the Gospel in Costa Rica.

 

The Seed Company

Our Goal

Mount Pisgah UMC’s Local Outreach Ministry puts hands and feet on what it means to Love God, Love People.  Our mission reminds those in need, through tangible and spiritual support, that God cares for them.  Through local outreach, we meet people where they are, just as they are and put a face on the God who loves them unconditionally.

Emergency Response Team

Volunteers pick up day-old bread and produce at area Kroger’s and deliver to North Fulton Community Charities to be distributed to those in need. Email Local Outreach to volunteer or call 678-869-1319.

Bread Ministry

EWW is a non-profit learning center providing a safe, therapeutic, and supportive environment for homeless women recovering from alcohol and drug dependency, in a transition from the penal systems, recovering from domestic violence, or living in poverty. EWW gives these women an opportunity to develop financial independence and solid and transferable work skills to strengthen their sense of self-confidence. Every Woman Works

Each year Mount Pisgah joins with others churches and community partners to build a home for a deserving family through Habitat for Humanity. This year we will build our 26th house for a deserving, low-income family that has never had the blessing of owning their own home. The 2018 Ecumenical Build begins on October 27th. To volunteer or to learn more about Mt. Habitat for Humanity

HomeStretch gives homeless parents and their children a safe and comfortable place to live while simultaneously helping them address the root causes of their situation and return to a life of self-reliance and stability. When they graduate from HomeStretch, the families have a strong grasp on their finances, have reduced insurmountable debt and have accumulated savings. Many have even increased their income through job skills training and improved employment. They are always looking for family and budget mentors as well as many other volunteer opportunities. HomeStretch

The Drake House is a crisis residential assessment center for homeless women and children in the North Fulton area providing immediate housing combined with an empowerment program designed to provide stability for the children and assist the family in working toward self sufficiency. Volunteer in the following areas: office, food pantry, tour/orientation for new residents, child care, special event assistant, donation coordinator, tutors and teachers for life skills classes. The Drake House

  • Timeframe:  July 30 – August 9, 2019(includes 2 days on front and back of trip for travel and time change recovery) Camp is from August 1 – August 7

  • Actual Location: The Black Sea, Odessa, Ukraine

  • Primary Activity: D- Camp - Disciple Making - Family Camp and Community Outreach –Partnership with Resurrection Church with Pastor Igor and Suzanna Fedorovych in Kiev with 120 people in attendance.

Ukraine

Timeframe: June 6 -17, 2019

Primary Activity: Visiting Missions Partners such as Loodariak Community, and GOA, and supporting and partnering with Mully Children’s Family. Engaging in activities with local churches, orphanages and participating in street evangelism in Vipingo.

Kenya - Mully Children's Family (MCF)

Timeframe: June 22-29, 2019

Primary Activity: A wonderful family trip opportunity. Kids activities, street evangelism, Bible studies, serving meals and minor construction work on Children’s Home with the Abraham Project, El Faro Church, and the local community.

Costa Rica

Timeframe: September 7 – September 14, 2019 – 7-day trip

Primary Activity: Partnering with Water@Work Ministry

Dominican Republic

Timeframe: October/November 2019

Primary Activity: Supporting Persecuted Church- Bible training, worship and fellowship with Persian believers.

Primary Activity: Supporting Christians in the North Nigeria UM Conference with holistic ministries (medical and dental training and evangelism, leadership training, clean water factory, internet, and computer training, church planting, health, and agriculture community investments, creating other micro businesses, etc.

  • Primary Activity: Christian Leadership Training – ILI History Makers Journey. A six-day leadership training experience designed for emerging disciple-makers and leaders between the ages of 18 and 35.

India

For the Hernando Montana led Disciple Training trips:  Hernando can deliver intensive training to those in the church who would like to participate on these mission trips. The training for the First Phase takes 32 hours, which could be done in 4 sessions. Saturdays. Anyone who has completed the training is invited to join Hernando on any of these trips. The participants for trips longer than one week can limit their commitment for only one week, if they wish. Hernando will start the training on Saturday, December 15th. On that date, they will decide the dates in January and February that would work for all the participants. The training will be spread over 4 Saturdays.
