“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,

present your requests to God.”

Philippians 4:6

We want to give you the opportunity to live this scripture out by inviting you to draw together daily from 1:00 – 1:15 to pray together as a church body from wherever you are. Thanking God for His presence and power and asking Him to bring healing and hope during this time of challenge. We will offer a daily devotion of encouragement here and on social media for how you might want to pray that day. This is the most powerful weapon we have.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”

Galatians 6:2

We can give the greatest gift of all to those in need through prayer. If you have a prayer concern for yourself or for someone who has been affected by the times we are living in, please submit those prayer requests via the form below, or by emailing caring@mountpisgah.org. Your request will be offered daily.  We want to be here with you and those you care about.

suggestions for groups/classes

  • Meet with Your Group Online

    • Meeting with your small group or friends online is a great way to recharge your emotional and spiritual life. There are many electronic services and some that are free.  You can try Zoom for online video conferencing = https://zoom.us. Or go low tech and stay in your PJ’s with free conference calling = https://www.freeconferencecall.com.  This way you can continue your weekly Bible study/small group and fellowship. And if you are not in small group, grab some friends and start your own (see resources below).  It is easier than you think.

  • Right Now Media Bible Study Resources

    • Mount Pisgah Church is giving a free gift subscription to rightnowmedia.org, which is one of the largest online conduits for Christian video content. With over 20,000 titles, it is the equivalent of a Christian Netflix. There is something for everyone and you are able to access the material from any personal computer or mobile device. This gift to our members will help you and your family dig deeper into God's Word, growing as disciples of Jesus Christ. Sign up here!

  • Living Power Online Bible Study

    • This is also a great time to get caught up on reading through the Bible in a year. Living Power is an online Bible study that you can do at home or on the road, on any technology device, with the help of your own personal Bible teacher! We read through all the Old and New Testaments, while Shannon Mullins explains historical background, brings in world history and uncovers hidden meaning to help you understand the Bible better. The daily videos are 10-15 minutes. Learn more and subscribe here.

Pisgah Pen Pals

Just because we can't get together in the same place and talk face to face, doesn't mean we can't encourage each other in other ways! Sign up to be a Pisgah Pen Pal and be paired with another member of our church to email, snail mail, FaceTime, chat or call. We'll pair you up and you can take care of the rest. It's a great way to stay connected, make new connections and keep our spirits up during this trying time. We are also adopting local nursing home facilities through the Pen Pals program so add that to your sign up too! Click here to sign up!

Food Relief

We know that many families will be impacted by the closing of schools and places of employment, so we are encouraging families in need to go to NFCC to help supplement their food needs during this season.  Initially, Mount Pisgah UMC was collecting food supplies for North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC) at our church campus. NFCC has provided new guidance of how best to help.

Financial contributions are still the best way to help at this point. They allow us to help the greatest number of people in the shortest amount of time. It also allows us to be flexible in the services we provide to families that need it.

We know that many of you want to volunteer to help. However, we are not allowing volunteers, clients, or guests in our facilities per CDC guidelines. We will need you healthy and ready to volunteer in the future.

If you need help with food for your family:

COVID-19 Relief Fund

Mount Pisgah has established a COVID-19 Relief Fund to receive gifts to be used for those in our church and community who are impacted during the weeks ahead by loss of wages, healthcare needs, and numerous other implications from the COVID-19 crisis. To donate to the COVID-19 Relief Fund, please log in HERE.

Requests for assistance can be made to cvrelief@mountpisgah.org. Please provide your name, contact information and details of the need.

ways to Give

Now is the time for the church to shine the hope of God’s love to those around us! Even though we are not meeting for worship in the weeks ahead, your gifts are needed more than ever to ensure that ministry continues. Listed below are ways to give remotely:

  1. Give through the Mount Pisgah app or web site (mountpisgah.org/give).  Debit and Credit Cards as well as Electronic Funds Transfer (e-check) directly from your bank can be handled through Online Giving. Options are available to make a one-time gift or to establish a recurring gift.

    • A valid email address is needed to set up a new account. If your email address does not match in the system in response to “Need an account? Request password”, please email jlewis@mountpisgah.org  to request a direct link be sent to you.

    • Detailed information about creating an account and the features it provides can be found at www.mountpisgah.org/touchpoint.

  2. Give through your bank’s BillPay option.

  3. Checks made payable to Mount Pisgah UMC can be mailed to Mount Pisgah UMC, Attn: Finance Office, 2850 Old Alabama Rd, Johns Creek, GA 30022. If your gift is for a fund other than the general operating budget, please indicate that on the "For" line of your check.

Help with Groceries/Pharmacy

As we continue to be the church together, we want to extend help to those that need items from the grocery store or pharmacy.  Please contact Valorie Deel at vdeel@mountpisgah.org if you would like to help get items for individuals OR if you need items picked up and delivered for you. We will pick items up and leave them on the front porch so that there is no contact. We want to respect keeping everyone safe and healthy. You are also welcome to call 678-869-1135. God bless you through these days.

Let Us Pray for You!
