CONFIRMATION 2024

Confirmation is an exciting time in the lives of our students. Offered every Spring for middle and high school students in an eight-week Sunday morning class, Confirmation challenges students to examine the basics of their faith on a personal level and make a lifelong commitment to Christ. Each class consists of two teachers and approximately twelve students who will spend the classes together discussing the core principles of our Christian faith including sin, grace, the Trinity, forgiveness, service, practices of the faith, and salvation. At the end of the eight weeks, students will have the opportunity to be confirmed and become members of the church. We would like to invite all students who are in 6th-12th grade to join us for Confirmation.

 

Parents of students meet for their own class (while their students are in class) for fellowship and to learn/or review the basics of the Christian faith:  God, Sin, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, Grace, the Bible, and Keys to Discipleship, the Church and Service and explore the roles of parents within each of those topics.  Parents will be encouraged and equipped to have meaningful discussions about life and faith with their confirmands as well explore weekly how God uses this crazy ride called parenting to sharpen and deepen our own faith.

 

Confirmation gives students the opportunity to:

• Examine the basics of their faith

• Make a lifelong commitment to Christ

• Enjoy classes in a small group setting with their peers

• Experience teaching, discussion groups, and fun activities

• Create relationships with trusted adults and older students

• Be baptized and become a member of the church

• Have meaningful conversations about their faith at home

Guidelines:

• Students MUST complete all lessons

• Students are allowed to make 1 mutual friend request for class

• Make-up classes are offered the following Sunday from 4 - 5 PM (up to 2 allowed)

• Student Celebration is MANDATORY from 4 PM - 8 PM on March 3rd

• Confirmation Sunday is scheduled for March 24. 2024 at the 11:00 AM service
