Mission & Values
Our Mission
Make disciples of Jesus Christ Here, There, and Everywhere.
We are passionate about helping people experience the transforming love of Jesus Christ, and to become fully devoted followers of Him. This passion is reflected in everything we do.
Mount Pisgah worship experiences and small groups are all designed with one purpose - to help you experience Jesus.
In addition The Summit Counseling Center is here to provide counseling and Christian love. The Mount Pisgah Christian School is here to provide outreach to pre-K through 12th grade students, and to help youth develop a lasting relationship with Jesus.
At Mount Pisgah there are countless ways for you to grow in your relationship with Jesus and serve in His name.
Our Values
Love God - Love People
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” - Matt 22:34-40
Love God – Love People. We see it as our highest value to hold this focus and to offer this love, not just at church, not just on Sundays, but as often as possible and in all areas of our lives.
We endeavor to minister every day to our loved ones, to those in our workplaces, and communities. By these acts of love we experience God’s love working through us.
Every day brings opportunities to share this love and to make disciples of Jesus.
In Matthew 25:40 when Jesus said, Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me, He gave us the chance to see that no one is undeserving of God’s love—and no time or place is without an occasion to be the feet and hands of Jesus.
We’ve seen the beautiful smiles of those we’ve loved in God’s name, and the peace we share by lightening another’s burden.
When we share of ourselves we give the greatest gift. People often say they get more out of volunteering, contributing their time, expertise, and resources than they give. This is no accident. It’s part of God’s plan; it’s part of God’s love, and how we know He is working through us.
Love God – Love People. At Mount Pisgah we value these words. They serve as a guidepost, as a reminder, and as an aspiration. We offer opportunities to live out this aspiration - to give of ourselves and to experience God’s love working through us. And we find sharing our love with the least of these is when we are closest to God.
We hope you’ll join us on an upcoming Sunday, and that you’ll explore on our website information about the opportunities we offer to Love God – Love People.
In the meantime, try it for yourself: do something for someone else today and see if your burden is not lightened.
