Blanket Ministry

The blanket ministry meets on the second Saturday of each month to create blankets and afghans which are donated to several agencies including the VA Hospital and A Beacon of Hope.

Disaster Response Team
The United Methodist Church Early Response Teams provide immediate assistance to victims of disasters, usually elderly and/or disabled, who might not have a support system nearby to help them.  The teams help with debris removal and temporary repairs, observe victim’s needs and report those to the United Methodist disaster relief operations as well as provide caring people with listening ears to help victims begin to heal.

Support the Troops
Approximately once a month, volunteers from Mount Pisgah volunteer at the USO at Hartsfield-Jackson airport to help welcome the soldiers who are passing through. We prepare and serve sandwiches to show God’s love to these brave men and women who are protecting our freedom.

The USO needs donations for global phone cards ($5 buys 100 minutes); single serve packs of trail mix, crackers, nuts and candy; bottled water; and Ziploc sandwich bags.

We also needs donations in order to purchase sandwich-making supplies or sponsors willing to provide the food.
