Disaster Relief
The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is committed to the communities that have been impacted by recent historic storms that raged across the southeast. These storms left countless families homeless and in need of care.
Love God – Love People. So simple. So powerful. So much at the heart of who we are.
Your faithful giving and commitment can be the hands and feet of Jesus in compassionate response to storm-affected families helping them recover, rebuild, and restore lives back to normal.
The North Georgia UMC Conference Disaster Response Team has set up a center to help match clean-up and repair needs with volunteer teams. From packing lunches to removing trees, many volunteers are needed.
Areas of need in Georgia include Griffin, Manchester, Floyd County, Ringgold, Pine Log, and Pickens County/Jasper.

At Mount Pisgah
Mount Pisgah volunteers continue to respond to the April storms by sending monthly work teams to Apison, TN, just across the GA state line. We have been helping those affected by the tornado clear trees and debris, and now the rebuilding process is beginning. Trips to Apison will resume in January with construction.
