Question And Answer...
This day is a gift from God, a new day we have never seen before and will never see again. God calls us, as Christians, to live it in the fullness of His glory and to be good stewards of His gift by making it count for the Kingdom.
“They joined with the other believers in regular attendance at the apostles’ teaching sessions and the Communion services and prayer meetings. And all the believers met together constantly and shared everything with each other, selling their possessions and dividing with those in need. They worshiped together regularly at the Temple each day, met in small groups in homes for Communion, and shared their meals with great joy and thankfulness, praising God.” (Acts 2:42, 44-46)
The Year of Ministry-Day of Hope campaign focuses on Mount Pisgah’s many ministries and the daily opportunities God provides for joyful living through them. This day, the Mount Pisgah family dedicates itself entirely to God by joining together in praise and worship. Each year, Mount Pisgah’s Year of Ministry-Day of Hope campaign provides us an opportunity to worship God with good stewardship by returning with grateful and generous hearts His portion of the many blessings we have received.
“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” (Luke 6:38)
Mount Pisgah is at a wonderful time in her history. A time to say “yes” to God by returning to Him what is His, by going where He calls us, and by serving and caring for those He puts in our path. Through our ministries God will multiply our gifts and use them in powerful ways for His Kingdom as we share the love and hope of Jesus Christ with the lost. God promises that through good stewardship we will experience the joy of giving as never before and He challenges us to test Him in this.
"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it" (Malachi 3:10).
Tithing is the recognition of God's ownership of us and all we possess. Through joyful giving of our tithes and offerings, we worship God and minister to the needy and to the lost, who do not yet know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. As an act of worship, returning to God what is His opens our hearts to receive the abundance and fulfillment He promises. This spiritual discipline frees us to live fully in Christ and to experience indescribable joy through our faithful response.
…the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything you may share abundantly in every good work. (II Corinthians 9:6-8)
We invite you to begin praying now, seeking God’s heart as you contemplate how you will worship Him with the fruits of His generous blessings in your life through your faithful response to the Year of Ministry-Day of Hope campaign on Sunday, April 20th. God is a generous, loving God whom we just can’t out give!!
