Devoting the last 17 years to music, youth and family ministry, Mark Danzey is having the time of his life. Mark has served Methodist churches all over North Georgia: Bethany UMC in Jefferson, Mountain Park in Stone Mountain, Duluth UMC in Duluth, and for the past 2.5 years, Mount Pisgah.
Mark holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Education from Beulah Heights Bible College and a Master’s degree in Pastoral Ministries from Erskine Theological Seminary. A sought-after conference speaker, teacher and consultant for youth ministry, Mark is a Certified Trainer with Jim Burn’s Youth Builders ministry and a Lead Consultant for Youth Ministry Architects. He is also an accomplished singer, musician and songwriter, and has had the privilege of recording his own CD of original works.
Mark has experienced the infinite miracles and challenges of parenthood personally. He and his wife, Tammy, have four children: Savanna - 18, Stephen - 15, Tyler - 13, and Sydnie - 12. Through his passion for families honoring God together, Mark especially enjoys his role of working with families as a unit to build and practice their faith.
When there is time for fun, Mark loves to play golf, snow ski, or just enjoy the great outdoors. History was and still is, his favorite subject to study, and travel is often centered around historical monuments of some kind. A native of Miami, Mark has been a Miami Dolphins fan for at least 35 years, maybe more.

Fred was born in Streator, Illinois,
married Maggie and has five grown children, and seven grandchildren. Fred receoived his BA from Augustana in 1967, a Masters in Divinity from Wartburg Theological Seminary in 1971, and a degree from the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program in 1988.
Fred's business experience includes;
1971 - 1979 North American Rockwell - Chicago
1979 - 1985 Vallen Corporation - Houston
1985 - 2001 Nordson Corporation -
Cleveland, Ohio; Atlanta, Georgia; Monterrey, California.
Fred retired from Nordson in 2001 and formed his own consulting company in 2002. He has been a member of Mount Pisgah since 1994 where you can find him each Sunday as part of the Faithbuilder's Sunday school class when not tending to his duties as Executive Pastor. Fred is also a graduate of Emmaus NGWTE #48 and serves as a Stephen Minister.
Fred has been in his current position as the Mount Pisgah's Executive Pastor since June 1, 2006.

Don left upstate New York for the University of Miami on a full scholarsh to tackle a double major of business and music. When Word, Inc., one of the largest Christian Publishers of music and books at the time, sought new Christian staff with skills in business and music, Don saw a perfect opportunity and answered the call. Don’s responsibilities enabled him to work with top Christian businessmen and artists.
Don’s next stop was Atlanta, GA, with Walk through the Bible where he directed the work of writers, editors, designers, and photographers engaged in the publication of seven Christian magazines with a combined total monthly circulation of over one million copies.
In 2002 Don joined the staff of In Touch Ministries as the Director of Communications and Publications. In Touch is the communications organization featuring the teaching of Dr. Charles Stanly through television, radio, internet, print and audio/visual products. Don’s business acumen and key relationships within the Christian communications and publishing industry generated new strategic alliances at many levels that brought about significant growth and success.
Many folks in metro-Atlanta recognize and remember Don for his portrayal of Jesus in the annual Atlanta Passion Play from 1997 - 2006 for which he received a commendation from Governor Sonny Perdue.
Don describes his wife, Candice, a former Mrs. Georgia and current local programming director for northeast GPB radio station WPPR (FM 88.3), as the best and sweetest gift God ever gave him in a life full of wonderful blessings.

Scott Harlow was born in Ft. Worth Texas, but grew up in Marietta, GA. He holds a BA in Church Music with a minor in English from Charleston Southern University. He has served churches in South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, and Georgia.
Scott's choirs have toured nationally, and his seasonal productions have been viewed across the U.S. and beyond. He has been married to Kelly for 21 years. Kelly holds a degree in Vocal Performance with an emphasis on vocal pedagogy from Charleston Southern University. She teaches piano and voice, and is very involved in the music and worship ministry at Mount Pisgah. They have three children, Taylor 19, Katie 16, and Abigail 14.

Diane has raised three of her very own children at Mount Pisgah, and helped to raise hundreds more. She loves being a part of the nursery and children's teams. Whether she is teaching Wee Ones Worship, checking in a volunteer, or rocking a baby, teaching kids to love God and to love people is the goal.

Shawn’s specific areas of responsibility will include providing leadership and staff support to Stewardship, Worklife, and New Member Assimilation.
In the 70’s and early 80’s Shawn received his Associate’s degree in Communications,
from LSU, his Bachelor’s in Biblical Studies and his Master’s in Practical Ministry from Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas.
With 30 years in church based, corporate, and parachurch ministry God has fashioned him through a unique breadth of responsibilities and experiences. For thirteen years he served as a Pastor. For nearly 10 years Shawn served as Regional Director working closely with Founder Howard Dayton by personally helping plant and establish Crown Financial Ministries in 30 states and 4 foreign countries. For 4 years he served as President/CEO of Blueprint for Life. Before joining the Mount Pisgah staff Shawn served as a Church Stewardship Consultant and Contractor most recently providing counsel and leadership for Mount Pisgah’s In God We Trust Annual Operating Campaign.
Shawn is married to Cathy, the woman that God specifically created for him before He was born. Together, they have 5 children and 2 children in law ranging in ages from 18 to 26 and in professions from seminary student to rocket scientist. They live happy, quiet, fruitful and grateful lives in their Roswell home with their 115 lb. Bernese Mountain dog, named Kody.

Bryce grew up in St. Petersburg, FL where he came to know Jesus as a young child through the blessing of Christian parents and grandparents. A graduate of Furman University with a degree in accounting, Bryce worked for Ernst & Young as a CPA for 11 years in SC, NC, and TX.
Bryce felt and answered God’s call to full-time vocational ministry in 1999 and quit his job with Ernst & Young in NC, sold his car, and flew to Dallas, TX for seminary. Although he needed to rejoin Ernst & Young one year later in TX, God enabled Bryce to complete his Master of Theology degree with a focus on cross-cultural studies from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2004. He completed his Doctor of Ministry degree with a focus on Christian leadership at Asbury Theological Seminary in 2008.
Bryce met his wife Vio during a mission trip to Romania in 2001. In 2002 they were married three times in three months (great story for later) and now spend most of their free time chasing their sons AJ (3 years old) and Cayden (1 year old).
Having served on staff at Mount Pisgah UMC since August 2004 Bryce currently oversees the discipleship and global mission ministries. Since getting involved in global missions in 1998, Bryce has traveled to over 20 countries.
Bryce greatly enjoys preaching and teaching from God’s Word, sharing Jesus with anyone at anytime, mission trips, running, watching or playing sports, reading books, and almost any activity with his wife and young boys. Currently his favorite Bible verse is Psalm 37:4.

Deone has always had a passion for children, youth and missions. Following this passion early in life led her to earn a degree in Early Childhood Education as she attended Young Harris College and Georgia State. She has led workshops for the North Georgia Conference on recruiting volunteers and innovative ways to have an exciting children's ministry program. She has also been part of a team that created both a children's curriculum for Children's Church and Small Groups, and an innovative and award winning worship service that was the only televised children's service on the AIB and ION Networks. This children's program won the 2007-2008 Solomon Award for most innovative production as well as the Church Magazine Drama and Skit award.
Deone was born in Raleigh, North Carolina and moved to Atlanta, GA in 1966. She attended Fernbank Elementary and Druid Hills High school. She has four brothers and is the only girl. Deone is a single mom that knows what it means to balance, work, children and her spiritual life and can share her wisdom with single parents and anyone else who would like to listen. She has two children, Caitlin 21, and Savannah 15. She loves to share her faith and life experiences with others helping them see that God has a plan for their lives.
When there is time for fun, Deone loves to be outdoors hiking, swimming, boating, running, and biking. She loves being active and spending time in God's beautiful creation, always taking time for sunsets and sunrises. She finds humor in every situation and loves to laugh and especially enjoys being silly with her two girls.

Rev. Mike Roper was born in Gainesville, Georgia where he graduated from Johnson High School. Mike received an associate of Fine Arts from Young Harris College and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Georgia. After his call to full-time ministry, he received his Master of Divinity from Candler School of Theology at Emory University.
Following his ordination as a United Methodist Elder in 1986, Mike served as pastor of Locust Grove United Methodist Church from 1986-1990. He then became founding pastor of Jodeco Road United Methodist Church in McDonough where he served from 1990-1995.
The death of Mike’s firstborn son, Adam, gave Mike a heart for compassion ministry. In 1995, he responded to God’s call to Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church where he serves as Minister of Caring. Recovery ministry is now one of Mike’s greatest passions.
Mike is the proud father of two sons, Adam (deceased), Matthew who is 23 and a daughter, Allison, who is 20.

Scott Barron serves as President of Mount Pisgah Christian School in Johns Creek, Georgia. As one of the leading independent schools in Atlanta with an enrollment of more than 1,000 students from pre-school through 12th grade; Pisgah is recognized for providing an exceptional college preparatory education grounded in Christian faith and values.
Mr. Barron previously served as the head of schools in Texas and Maryland. A leader in Christian education for more than ten years, Mr. Barron is also an entrepreneur and innovator, having worked in the technology industry and the private business sector. He holds a masters degree in education from Johns Hopkins University, along with undergraduate degrees in computer science and religion from Mars Hill College. He is married and the father of three children.

Talli Moellering comes to A Beacon of Hope from Choosing the Best, a leader in abstinence education curricula, where she trained middle and high school health teachers and developed a program for high school students on how to create positive peer pressure. Prior to that she co-founded TrueLifeChoices, where she also served as executive director.
A well-known and respected professional, Moellering has a broad range of management and practical experience in health education and business development. She has developed valuable methods for engaging the community at large and for developing healthy collaborative relationships.
Talli’s foremost passion is to promote healthy relationships and to embrace life - born and unborn…a perfect fit for A Beacon of Hope. Her extensive background, experience and enthusiasm make for a successful and winning combination that will well serve the community and A Beacon of Hope.
A native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Moellering earned her Bachelor of Science in Management at Indiana’s Wesleyan University. She and her husband David have been married for 19 years and are the parents of three daughters.

Peyton Mosher is a native of Atlanta, having lived almost his entire life in North Fulton County, excluding his early 20’s when he wandered around America and Canada playing minor league baseball for the Los Angeles Dodgers Organization.
Peyton married his high school sweetheart, Carrie, and they have been married 27 years. Peyton and Carrie have 3 daughters: Kalie (22); Natalie (18); and Codie (16). Peyton is a graduate of UGA and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He has been on staff at Mount Pisgah for 14 years, serving in various associate roles. Currently, Peyton is Chaplain and Director of Christian Leadership for Mount Pisgah Christian School.

The Summit Counseling Center provides professional, faith-based counseling. Each counselor is a mental heath professional licensed by the State of Georgia and is also a person of faith who integrates the insights of the behavioral sciences and the conviction of the Christian faith.

Born in Monterrey, Mexico, Dr. Quintanilla is a pastor and ordained elder. He received his Master of Divinity from the Asbury Theological Seminary in 1985, and his Doctorate in Ministry from Columbia Theological Seminary in 2008. For over 22 years he has served as pastor, teacher, and chaplain in prisons hospitals and churches. Juan and his wife, Laura, have two teen-age boys, Daniel and Josh.
